I’m scouring the Web and the Adobe docs, but thought I would pose the question to you guys while I look.
I would like to create a smart little animation sequence in Flash and give it to people as a projector file set to autoplay once they pop it in. I want to mimic a transparent AIR app, in that I’d like my little animation to appear to just pop up out of nowhere in the desktop environment. It would be really cool if I could use bitmapDate methods to capture the users desktop and use it as a fullscreen background at the moment the thing loads and starts, to give the illusion of the animation existing outside of any window, like any other little app in their dock. I need to avoid any executable having to get permission from an administrator to show my little song and dance. Capturing the entire desktop is a visual illusion that would be perfectly non-invasive. Is this possible? I’m not sure if you can expand the stage area; at this point I’m just brainstorming. Thanks - I hope this spurs a discussion.
Let me say that I understand the inherent security risk in being able to capture a desktop. But I’m still hoping to find a way to mimic a transparent app without having to install anything on a user’s machine
