I’ve having a hard time placing text over my image without compromsing the look.

Yes, I can read it just fine, the text on the copyright blends in a little too much that you might want to add a little bit darker font. Looks nice so far, update us when you are done!
Thanks for your input Dan. I made the copyright the same colour as the regular text.

It’s latin text … just filler copy until the real stuff goes in!
