Graphic Artist, New York City | 50-70k
My client, the producer of the Rush Limbaugh Show, radio’s number 1 talk show, seeks a talented Graphic Artist to join its web team and work full-time with our web and production staff in Midtown Manhattan.
My client employs approximately 700 dedicated, highly skilled and motivated people focused on developing, producing and syndicating 70 radio programs and services to more than 5,000 radio affiliations that reach over 190 million listeners weekly.
Principal responsibilities include:
- Photo Research: Purchase and placement of photos/images for stories on all pages of website
- Parody Creation: Including photo montages, creation of original artwork, and capturing skills
- HTML linking of written and graphical content
- Creation of general art content
- Overall responsibility for the look of the site, reporting to the Senior Producer, Managing Editor
Job Requirements / Technical Skills:
- Being able to work in a fast paced environment with daily (sometimes
hourly) deadlines - Being able to work independently on multiple projects
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop CS
- Exceptional knowledge of vector and animation programs like, Macromedia Flash and Adobe Image Ready
- Experience with content management systems
- Strong Illustration skills
Other duties and responsibilities:
- Video and Audio Capturing and editing
- Working on promotions related to online and print subscriptions
- EIB Store graphics for products and ads
- Updating website, offering suggestions on improving functionality
- Maintain relationships with photo source reps and print houses
- Adding features, and creating holiday graphics
