How can i make a defined number of pixels for a selection? For example: I need a 40X40 peice of one of my art works but i dont want to just have a corner. I want a peice near the center. How do I go about this?
If your talking about photoshop then use the rectangle tool as path only and constrain it to 40 pixels. Then click anywhere on the canvas to place the path, right click and select make selection. Then you can copy and paste a perfect 40px x 40px selection.
also you can use the drop down of the marquee tool to make a fixed size selection.
