Anyone ever join TSA? It’s pretty cool, but now I’m just admiting that I’m a total geek, but whatever.
I did Manufacturing Prototype, where I needed to design, build, and plan for mass production for a classroom organizer. I placed 3rd in the state, and I plan on going to the national event in Chicago this year.
I also did the Tech Bowl, which is a multiple choice test for a team of three. Every team member takes the same test, but they average the scores out, and my team and I placed 3rd in this event as well. We were not expecting to place in the top 3, so we made a bet with my teacher. If we place in this event, he’ll have to play the drums (he’s 58 years old, and going deaf, but he played the drums in 10th grade). So we placed, and when they called us up, he got beet-red and had to leave because he was laughing so hard.
Anyone live in or near Chicago? I think the national TSA conference is around June or July…I’ll find out exactly when tomorrow.
