I heard this too actually. I think it stems from the fact they actually did little of that work themselves. The actual design studio (who did the work) spoke up because of all the awards they were winning.
I had a feeling that site was going downhill, esp from what you guys have been saying.
The source files for this site are for sale? What happened?
I really liked the 3D interface. But, man, it weighed in at 2.4 MB! A lot of the body text is a raster render, not raw text. They could have kept the particle effects to one or two, not four. I mean it’s a slick design but not well executed to be delivered to the masses.
Being on 11mbit I can’t really say anything about the load times…
The look was impressive, until the site layout zoomed in at the end.
They really could have done plenty better on that… It was just dull.
Also if I turn the sound off in their menu, it turns itself back on after a little bit.
So all in all, the intro was pretty… the site was garbage.
Is that all After Effects mainly?
Yes, a major component of it is using AE. Im not that insterested in Kigot until it was outsourced and the source files were for sale apparently.
