This is a proposal regarding the hypothetical creation of a free graphics library:
After almost making this post a petition to strike down intellectual property law, I thought of a great idea. What if we collect (on this thread, first) images/animations of in public domain(no licenses, no credits,nothing). Once we had sufficient to start a kirupa page in the forums like the game center, we could organize them by file type and content description.
For this, we need:
Some website designers (I’m not a server-side coder, so I don’t know which languages would be needed)
A lot of graphic designers. Period.
Bitmap or non-bitmap are both fine, I would think, but they should be in seperate categories.
Please classify your image with a description and classification advice.
I think that we could actually pull this off.
