Kirupa's follow mouse

I tried to follow the totorial “http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash5/follow.htm”

I’m working in mx, it doesn’t work.

I have created a movie clip , while rolls.

I’, using that in a scene by using the action script

startDrag(“follow”, true);
Mouse.hide();

is there anything wrong in my procedure

That’s what I use. Works for me. The cursor wont seem to jump around a lot if you bump up your fps to 30 (or so).

this is another Flash 5 tut, if you want to play around with different code. I’m pretty sure it will work in MX.

I could see my new cursor movie clip , but it doesn’t move along with the cursor

did you give it an instance name of “Follow”

??
