You sure that’s not a Core 2 Duo instead of a Dual Core? They are diferrent.
It is Dual Core 1.73 
My guess is that is was 800USD. 1.73 Dual Core is like 2.5 years old now.

Well, that doesn’t quite make sense…since the rest of your laptop has quite modern specs, 160 gig harddrive, 2 gigs of RAM, Vista, etc.
Why would a laptop that’s brand new use Dual Core? I think your jsut confusing it with Core 2 Duo, either way that’s the only thing that will slow you down in your processing.
EDIT Nevermind, I looked it up. Your right, its a dual core…wtf though. You can buy a brand new Inspiron or Thinkpad for around the same price with a much better CPU…
its for 754.250 USD… I liked the new Dell Inspiron too but i really made my mind for this Toshiba Satellite, anyway I just wanted to use it for my personal use and to take with me if I visit any client to show their presentation or whatever…
I have an Acer laptop , its too cool man. and now panasonic have introduced a new laptop named toughbook74 thats really good. Better get its cofiguration and check it out i think it suits your needs, but its costly.
