Laptop Advice

I heard AMD system slow downs…

^They drain power faster is the general idea.

And generally can’t go head to head against the newer Core 2 Duos either.

my friend using Dual Core from long time and still its working fine with him.

Its not a question of whether it works or not…its a question of what kind of work load it can take. The older Dual Cores cannot take as much as the newer Core 2 Duos especially with the stuff you’d like to do.

Toshiba blows. I had a Satellite and gave it to my dad. The paint scratches off easily. The build is shoddy. You can hear it crackle and pop when lifting it up. The screen had a huge number of dead pixels 1 week after using it. The integrated sound had tons of static and disappointing bass.

I also am using a Toshiba TV. The remote receiver is busted, so you can’t use the remote or buy a new one. A TV without remote control is hell. You know how long it takes to push the channel button until you get to the right channel? Just like the laptop, the paint-over-plastic was crap and scratches off easily.

I’d go with HP. Dell has a habit of overheating. HP has the sturdiest build. Their speakers tend to be better too.

You could buy a universal remote lol…:stuck_out_tongue:

I can really see HP gaining a lot of market share if they continue to expand the Voodoo line or incorporate those designs into their future laptops.

The receiver is broken, not the remote.

Oh right…no warranty?

Here is one more question tel me which one is better to use Outlook 2003 or Vista’s Windows Mail?

Windows Mail. Thunderbirds the best choice though.

gmail

Yeah, I don’t use any “outlook” like programs…however you can use gmail with basically any email program like Window Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc…

^You can use any email service with those programs lol. eww web based email.

Yeah, what I was trying to say. :stuck_out_tongue:

How can I use Gmail for my own domain email?

just forward your domain to your gmail account. Its under the email settings in your account setup screen for which ever host you have.

Haven’t had time to read this thread… but don’t, for your own sake, go with Acer.

I believe I mentioned this already
