I am designing a website about a place in DreamWeaver 4.
I want my page with text and pictures side by side. I want to
know whether we can insert a layer inside another layer.
It is not allowing me do that.
Any tips pls.
no I dont belive you can.
One thing you can do, if you do not plan on ever converting your layers to tables, is have them overlap eachother… it’s one of the options you can turn on and off in the layers panel I belive. It’s been a while since I have used 4.
Also, as a word of advice, many browsers have problems with layers, especially those that overlap. I would suggest moving to tables and trying to work through your design there…
yeah tables= cross platform and browser problems avoid them like the plague they are evil evil i say
you can insert layers inside another layer. Put the cursor in your div the go to insert>> layer I believe it is. But becareful this is not a real browser stable move.
be sure to use z-index.
