I would like to take a character built in Flash into After Effects. It is split into many separate layers - rightUpperArm, rightLowerArm, rightHand, etc. After Effects will take a swf file but flatten it and rasterize it. I can save it out of Flash as an AI file but it flattens it. I guess I could take it into Illustrator, break it into layers in Illustrator, then send it to AE but that is sure a lot of steps. Illustrator also wants to make it CMYK which kills the colors. I don’t care that much about the rasterization. I could go into PhotoShop but would still have to break it into layers in PS. Anyone have help? Is there a plugin that might fix my problem? Thanks.
