Export Adobe illustrator image to flash fla

Hello ~~~

I drew a picture in Illustrator, and saved it as AI and EPS file, but I can’t completely export it to flash fla, if exported, the image will be looks like craps, so does just copy and paste. It seems there is no way to put the picture successfully into the flash.

Does anyone know how to put the picture into the flash? I am using flash MX and Illustrator 10.0

I would just save as a .jpg…but if you do that you can no longer pull it apart. I dont know illustrator that that is my only guess, but someone can help that is here.

i posted this in the flash mx section

a few tips -

1.make sure the colour sliders in illustrator are rgb (not cmyk) - this ensures that colours remain true.

2.if you have really complex paths in illustrator you are probably better converting them in gifs or jpegs - believe me these can actually be smaller…

3.If your paths are appearing ‘funny’ in flash (not the correct shape /angles / missing bits etc) then try changing the clipboard preferances in illustrator - there are multiple options (experiment with each to find the best results - to do this click/unclick an option in the clipboard preferances and then try copying - pasting into flash, usually you will find one of the options will get your paths into flash in pristine condition! mariofan takes a breath…*

i hope this helps you and anybody else…

thats a nice tip mariofan :beam:, though i normally just use the export to flash option in illustrator. To achieve this go to file / export when change the file type to swf. it will bring up a dialog box asking if you want to make export your ai layers to flash layers or ai layers to flash keyframe or ai file to swf file. then it give you features on curve quality and other features play around with that and you can get some good results.
