'Lifters'

The problem there is the age old adage “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction” If everyone in China strided to the east, it would rotate the earth westward or opposite its rotational spin. However, once that stride stopped, that energy would then go into propelling the earch eastward (as they are pushing against the earth to both propell themselves forward and pushing to stop themselves - pushing in opposite directions.

Same applies to the belching. The intake and discharge of the air has an equal and opposite reaction to itself.

… its all contained within the same continuously rotating system which relative to itself can be any combination of motion or energy, though as a whole will always amount to the rotation of the system (the entire earth) as a whole.

Now, the current slowing down of the earth is attributed to outside influences such as cosmic winds and interference of other celestial particals and whatnot. Since they are not contained within the system of the earth, they have the influence to affect the earths rotation. Of course on the whole, the universe is at a constant. … or so one would think

friends of mine did that for their science fair - ion propulsion. I guess I’ll die before they will ever be made. Because their lift never worked and was nowhere near being functionnal.

But hey, it looks cool on paper  !

I so want to build one of these things… Now all I need is some foil (check) Balsa wood (check) Wire (check) and a tessla coil… Hmmmm that last bit may be tricky. =) If anyone makes on post the video of it flying. =0)

Cheers!

we made a balsa ornithopter here at work :-\ They’re much easier to make =) though possibly not as cool :-\

=)
