'Lifters'

This is a pretty cool article over at WIRED

http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/11.08/pwr_antigravity.html

I was a little syched at first, then it went a way a little bit  but overall its pretty cool.

My favorite quote is:

“My wife almost never comes down here when I’m doing this stuff… And the bigger arcs of lightning kind of freak her out.”

I would imagine so.

Cool stuff.

I want to make a lifter.

yeah, today in their series they’re doing time travel.

I stuff my cats in the hall closet so they don’t somehow get electrocuted.

Hahahahahahahaha.

I want one, but I still don’t quite understand how it works.

=)

if you read all 4 pages youd know that they create an ion wind by elcricuting the air around it making a downward force that pushes them up, so no its not antigravity

I think it is antigravity…

TD

Odd that exists. I still have some misconceptions of it though. Anyone have any pictures?

=)

lol, i wonder how you protect against gravity.

metal shoes?

Lol, I’d think magnetic shoes on metal surfaces. Like in the ones they have in space movies.

Lots of cushions? :stuck_out_tongue:

being sober also protects well from gravity :thumb:

yeah, I have had to hold on to the grass real tight to keep from floating away… at least a couple of times…

i remember this one time the earth was spinning faster than usual and i couldn’t hold on, and it seemed everyone else had the gene or something to keep up with the earth’s speed and i didn’t. luckily it slowed down a bit and i found myself on the ground once more.

true story.

Lol, I wonder if you go against gravity a bit, do you also not move as the speed of earth?

=)

hm…Matr"0"x, that’s quite interesting. it would probably hurt though :-\

there is a theory about having all of the people in China walk at once, in stride, to the east, and slow the world to a stop…

can’t remember where I heard it…

Rev

I’m sure heard somewhere that if you packed everyone in the world into the same place (as small a space as possible) and got them all to belch in the direction of the sun at the same time, it could change the orbit of the Earth

I say we try it! :thumb:
