watch the header bar load and look at the effect that occurs on the text “Liquidchrome”… how is this accomplished?
i’m sure it is probably something simple, but i don’t quite understand the theory behind it… any suggestions or tips on recreating this sort of effect?
Its done using Photoshop. They make the blurry (lighted) text in photoshop and import it to Flash, and then they just change the alpha and it fades away. and the crisp normal text is left on the stage.
i know that photoshop is responsible for creating the surreal effects of flash sometimes, but doesn’t those “bitmap” images make for a huge file size?..
it’s pretty obvious that a lot of his site has been developed in photoshop.
this brings to mind another question… in www.2advanced.com 's
navigation… are the buttons and interface w/ text created in photoshop or in flash?.. i’m just sort of curious about the surreal sites i see… weither a majority was done in flash or photoshop…
either photoshop or someother program. yes they use that a lot. Much of the things that they do can’t be done with Flash alone. They keep their file size down by using loadMovie() and also they make things run smoother by using preloaders…
using bitmaps does increase file size, but only if you go overboard with it… use it in moderation… export your images as gif or png and optimize them to make them smaller…
