Lightweight Color Picker?

Hey folks. I’ve been scouring the web for a legitimate, light-weight color picker that I can open up whenever I want to grab a hex value of a color I see on the screen. I’ve googled it and a lot came up, but I’m a little apprehensive to download and test what I found.

Anyone know of a good, light-weight color picker for Win XP?

Danke!

I use Color Schemer Studio just because it allows me to mange my color schemes.

I didn’t like Kuler. Seems like every palette on there was ugly (this coming from the colorblind guy).

I read an article on creating your own color palette on Tutzor (I think) but it’s gone now. I remember it was very simple and involved messing with some type of color adjustment in PS. After fooling with it, I think I remember how it goes:

  • Make a bunch of dots (squares, whatever) of different colors you kinda like.
  • Make new layer above the colors.
  • Fill it with whatever theme color you want and set its blend mode to “Color”
  • Modify that layer’s opacity to your liking.

^W1sh I don’t think you read that post right. :fab:
