I want to know how this site loads images so fast. What do they do to maintain speed and quality. Does anyone know. If I had set a load jpeg command I don’t think it would load as fast as these ones do.
Any ideas?
The forums are filled with a quantity of answers for the jpg problems… First of all sometimes people use PNGs…
The site might have a very good transfer rate, which means speed will be optimized…
THe flash file loads will the user is not doing anything, which means the photos load all the time
The flash file probably isnt rendered with a flash jpg compression which screws everything…
Some images might also be sliced (ie if there is one big grey area in the photo you slice it up so it only a big grey tile to load)
Play around with all the options in flash and bitmap programs to get what you want… Im sure there are a lot more ideas on the forum, do a ‘search’ =)
thanks friend. I’ve done various searches for these types of things and will continue to do so but yo’ve mentioned some options that definatly never occuered to me.
