there’s a whole heap of stuff you can do to make various things better in windoze, some make it run faster, others just get rid of irritating stuff etc…
my bro d/l’ed a whole list of things, so he did all them
personally i wouldn’t touch the registry if you don’t know much about it, because you can easily screw things up, esp if you just wander round aimlessly in there:bandit:

anyways, i always mess with registry too…especially when i know i am going to reformat, i mess up everything on comp possible!! :o its fun deleting files you know are crucial to windows…sorta like striking back at M$
