Logo for new project, whaddya think?

Ok so Im doing a new project, since I live in Warsaw and there are very limited online resources for this city, especially at the angle Im trying to take, I’m making a sort of Wikipedia about this city, it should be a complete resource about everything everything the city has to offer, not just some half baked tourist guide with business listings… Anyway thats a very, very brief description of the site.

Here is the logo I have come up with and which will go on the homepage for the time being, while it is being developed.

I made it in Illustrator using a font that already exixts, but modifying it, cutting up some glyphs that are included in the font and etc etc. Then back to pshop for effects. (10 points for anyone who can guess the font) :thumb:

SO, what are your comments?

edit: the building in the background is the Palace of Culture and Science, without a doubt the most representative landmark of Warsaw, Poland, and is by the way the tallest “building” between Moscow and London! :slight_smile:

I feel I have seen the style before, but it is well executed. I like it, nice one!

ya know it actually works. I has alot of treatment to it that I dont think will show well on a small version. But for the most part it works for me.

I agree, but the logo in itself will probably end up being only the text with the black bubble. I think I won’t use this “treated” version on the actual site, but only for collateral…

By the way, Twoja Wawa means “Your Warsaw”. Wawa is a local slang for the capital city…

I think you should go less on the brush out font, it’s a little too light, other than that, nice style!:beer:

Everything’s fine except for the “.pl” in the comic style balloon - the “p” looks more like "k"
I guess you should try and fix that.
