Can you please write a tutorial for the signature banner you have? the one on kirupas is a little different. i like the front layer and the background squishing the txt. How would i do that?
its just modifying the tutorial and using different layers to move the movieclips.
what is the basic loop script? I made a signature thingy.
- basic resolution size for a siggy?
- basic script i put at the end to repeat the whole flash file?
- rollover technique so that the background changes to black from white when the mouse goes over?
thanx
Correct me if I’m wrong.
It’s just 1 frame so you dont need a script to loop it.
And the sprites are dupicated movieclips with actionscript on them.
more than 1 frame =0( there is some creat motion tween action going on =P
Its only one frame long. There is no motion tween. its all done with action script.
my questions in my 1st reply are for something else not beta’s siggy.

whatever you want it to be…you could just look around and see what everyone else’s is… Mine is 300x75…just to give you an idea

gotoAndPlay(1);

simplistic way: create a movie clip that has this: frame 1 - 10 is a tween that changes a big block from white to black… frame 10 [ stop(); ]
the stuff in brackets is Actionscript. Now, make a big button that covers your entire movie…then have the keyframe for “over” be the movie clip that we just made.
now but the button in your movie…when you roll over the button, it should play your movie clip…which is a big block (your background) fading from white to black…like my sig.
1)300x60 is the requirement for a footer. But if you go a tad over that we won’t complain.
As for my footer.
It is 1 frame long, and uses the Easing with mouse follow tutorial on the site.
I used the code but took out all lines referring to the _y and _ymouse coordinates.
Then I applied it to 4 layers, 3 images and 1 text. Each layer contains an image exported from Photoshop (.png) and Imported in Flash and is 3 times the length of my canvas width in Flash.
I then centered these clips (CTRL+K for alignment panel) and made them into movie clip symbols which I used the actionscript on.
It isn’t as hard as it looks
Although I might write a tutorial on it because I am tired of getting 14+ emails a day asking me how I did the thing…lol. (yes, I literally do get many e-mails asking this)
Beta: You know how to fix that? Don’t use that footer! I only get one or two questions a month on mine. lol…
LOL, but I likes me footer :pirate:
