SPOILER – If you haven’t watched the last episode –
I always thought that the writers didn’t even had a plan and didn’t know what was going on in their own show. They said in the last episodes they would prove that they knew what the ending was going to be like since the beginning of the series. Supposedly, the identity of “Adam and Eve” would prove it.
The only thing it proved is that they had no idea what to do with the story. When Jack first found them, he said that based on their clothing deterioration, they could’ve been 40 or 50 years dead. Now we found out that they have been dead for about 2000 years.
I think they didn’t even know what the smoke monster was. It was great intrigue and they didn’t know how to resolve it, so they gave a simplistic identity.
Jacob and the MiB still don’t know what they are protecting?! How can you protect something for hundreds of years and even kill other people and make their life miserable to protect something you don’t even know what it is?
The whole show it’s just stupid.
