Hey all! I’ve been charged with speccing my replacement Mac for work. The current set up is a G5 tower with two 2GHz PowerPC processors, 4 GB RAM, and 200 GB hard drive; I’m driving dual monitors. I run Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, all the usual suspects.
I’ve begun thinking about going to a MacBook Pro, the 17" model. The idea is that I can bring work home as needed and not have to fight for time on the family Mac. And to be honest, I suffered Mac envy at FlashForward, watching all those people with laptops trying out tips and tricks they’d just learned.
Does anyone have any advice/experience doing design work on a laptop? Thanks in advance!
