"mailto:" in SWF vs HTML

Is an e-mail-link (“mailto:”) in a .swf-file as vulnerable to spam as one in a HTML-file?
I have a client that got tons of spam after publishing their current homepage (all HTML) some time ago, with e-mail-links (“mailto:”).
Now we are discussing a new homepage and they wonder if it is less risky to have their “mailto:” baked into a site built entirely in Flash. (If not, they don’t want links, only the adressess as text.)

Sincerely
