I’m an experienced programmer, but new to flash. I’m trying to recreate something similar to this tutorial: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash5/lightingmask.htm
However, when I create my mask layer, the entire box is the mask instead of fading from dark to light. when the layer is NOT a mask, the box goes from 0% Alpha to 100% alpha (white) to 0% Alpha, like I expect the box to look. The problem just comes when I apply the mask.
