Just got a reply from 3dbuzz forums again. I asked maybe you need to reinstall maya , this dude replied the following::
:::No, he doesn’t need to reinstall Maya. Ask him to check and see if he has history turned on. There should be an icon on the menu bar that shows a little peice of paper with I think a pencil on it. If there is a red X over it, then tell him to click the icon again to turn history back on.
If this doesn’t work, delete the workspace.mel script from your projects folder.
If none of that works, then I don’t know what the problem is. :::

I just tried my last post, with the contrustion history off, i couldnt see the extrude manipulator 
Started a new scene and turned it back on, works again :beam:

WOOOOOO HOOOOOO. Man thanks a million. That did it. I guess i turned off the history for one tutorial and they never told me to rest or turn it back on for the next one.
