MC in a btn to keep playing when mouse moves over it?

Ok very simple scenario here! :slight_smile:

All ive done is put a movieclip into a button in the over state so of course when the user moves their mouse cursor onto the title (this is what the flash is for) it starts playing.

Only problem is when they move their cursor off of the title the movie clip stops playing

All i want to do is have it play in its entirety even if the user no longer has their cursor on the actual title

I am new to flash so i guess its a bit of an obvious question but any help appreciated muchly :slight_smile:

ok… so do you want it to be playing no matter what, or do you want it to be still, then play when the user moves over it, and then it plays forever?

if you want it to always play, just put the mc into all 4 states of your button.

If you want the latter, I can’t think of an easy way to do it off the top of my head. If it’s possible. I’m sure it is.

i tried putting the MC into all 4 of the button states and no lcuk :frowning:

you know normally if u put a MC into the over state of a button it will not play until the user has their cursor over the button.

But when the user takes their cursor off of the button the movie clip will totally stop playing.

Well even if the user takes their cursor off the button i just want the MC to play to the end and THEN stop

do you want this to only happen once? once the mc plays through and stops does it stay that way?
