I’m planning on starting a personal site now so I got my selfed gs hosting on mediatemple, I’ve been really happy with it so far (although I have nothing serious running now, only fooling around for now). But I have a few questions which I’m sure the mediatemple support could have answered, but I know a lot of people here use mediatemple, so I’m posting here first.
Anyway, right now, I can quasi-resell. That means I can add a domain to the existing package, create a user that only has access to the particular domain via FTP and that’s it. Now if I had dedicated virtual, could I still do that, or would adding a domain automatically eat up a plesk license? I was thinking that for clients who really aren’t knowledgable and wouldn’t manage anything by themselves, so they don’t need a plesk license, just a site that runs and I manage it.
Also, have any of you purchased a mysql container? Do you have any experience of how much load a gridserver package can take without a mysql container? Is it worth it generally?
