Menu/button question

Right, well… I’m working on a webpage right now in FMX2004, and I have a bunch of buttons as my navigation. When I hover over them (on mouseover), I want to have a drop down text field that explains what is on it since I think putting text on buttons looks really cluttered. Is there an easy way to go about this? I’ve tried a couple things, and nothing really works the way I’d like. It doesn’t even have to be a box, I just want the text to magically show up and describe the contents.
