yo, i was wondering if anyone knows any good tutorials to make menus where you click on one item, and then a bunch of other choices show up, and then you click it again and those choices disappear etc…

You mean a drop-down menu?
hmm well i’m not exactly sure what it’s called… it basically looks just like a list when you first see it… like this:
+sports
+animals
+foods
then you click on sports and it now looks like this:
+sports
hockey
baseball
soccer
tennis
+animals
+foods
…you can click them all at once so they’re all expanded, and then you click them again and the sub-categories go away.
…except the sub-headings would be indented… i guess it is a drop-down menu of sorts, i just want a plain text one like i showed above

ya, that’s a drop down menu. I’ve never tried to make one, but my guess is that you’d use a couple of movie clips to achieve this effect. Perhaps a movie clip within a movie clip. I think you should take a look at the tell targets on kirupa. That’s my 2 cents, hope i helped.
