quick question for you guys about meta tags and the stuff you can place inside, or more accurately the stuff you can get away with putting inside them.
I’m doing a site for a music agents, they want to put the names of bands they represent inside the tags, ok no probs. But they also want to put famous bands in these tags that their bands are comparible to.
for instance they have a mellow band they compare to coldplay, so they wanna put coldplay inside the meta tag of their site.
what I’m wondering is, I can see search engines having a problem with this because I know they carry out checks to make sure meta tag contents are relevant. I can guess they’d be a bit pissed if we were caught but on the other hand I can see them not caring.
do you think I can get away with this or not?
