Hello all. It’s been some time as I’ve taken a hiatus from Web work with focusing on my Geospatial career. Anyway…
New client looking for product preview application where users can select from a series of variables and an image or simulated graphic of the product will be displayed along with the price (per sq.ft) * talking landscaping products (pavers).
The user will have choices of stone type/color, border type/color, etc.
I’m just trying to think of a simply, but effective way to tackle this. The client doesn’t have the biggest budget and this is an add on they asked about I’m trying to make happen.
I could do it in Flash, but I’m not sure yet on the number of possible combinations and that could get hairy quickly trying to set up all the different graphic and price states. I’m not really sophisticated enough with PHP at this point, but I think this is somethign that could easily be accomplished with PHP, or PHP/Flash.
I was hoping for just some guidance on how you might try and tackle it, what tools would you use etc. If you have any examples, or code I could look at that might help, that would be greatly appreciated as well.
