****** thats a pretty cool site…well done mate where did you get images you used on the site specially those boat on the main page **
Thanks. The japanese temple was stockphoto, but did some serious work on it to make it look the way I wanted to. Some of the boats (I say some, because there will be some more effects later on, and more boats), some of them, I’ve photographed in Hong Kong myself on one of my visits, and others are stockphotos from Hong Kong, and I’ve simple worked on them and made them look a bit more hand-drawn/painted.
Thanks heaps for your nice feedback, I really appreciate it. It has taken many ours of work to get the look of the graphics that I wanted, and still, although the site may look quite finished, I’m working on extensive motion video effects aswell, but a bit worried about bandwidth requirements, so I might have to go for two versions, but that is a lot of extra work, especially as I will make everything in Chinese aswell.
Really appreciate your attention folks… Great stuff :flower:
I must be blind… I just don’t see how anyone could see the text in these Flash Sites… Especially with 1024 reso and greater?
Anyways… Awesome looking layout.
great site, but the music has to go =)
Thanks Marz. Yes smaller text sizes seems to be the trend with internet pages in general it seems. You are the first one though to comment small text sizes, so I reckon it’ll stay that way The problem with flash is that if you want the text to look real sharp, you’ll end up using pixelfonts, and I still haven’t found many “larger” pixelfonts that look good. Normal text with antialias looks not good.
Digitalosophy: Nah you don’t think the music was good ay mate? No worries, but you are also the first to mention that. Why, I guess you just don’t like the music type? You can turn the music off though
Thanks mates!

lol well, you have a real nice site, but to me your music doesn’t go with with it. but this is my opinion, personally, i would def change the music to a nicer softer ambience
Yeah, maybe you are right. However, I’ve gone through lots of work getting the rights to use the music though, hehe… I think I’ll have to live with it
Rex… I only see a white box after I enter the site. The movie isn’t loading at all. I have the recent Flash player, so it’s not that. Maybe it is a mac thing… just thought I would let you know! I would like to see it once it’s fixed.
Thanks,
Amy
Thanks Amy, yeah I’ve been having issues getting it to work on Mac’s. However, I just fixed it I think. I’m not on Mac, so it’s hard to test. But I did some research, and found out that mac’s hate relative paths to .swf files, to I changed it, and hmm, maybe it works now
Can you check for me? Thanks.
I still don’t see it Rex… try comparing the source code from my site to see whats missing http://www.vizualstorm.com/home.html… that might be your best bet! here it what I have for mine:
<OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=5,0,0,0"
WIDTH=750 HEIGHT=550>
<PARAM NAME=movie VALUE=“menu.swf”>
<PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=best>
<EMBED src=“menu.swf” quality=best WIDTH=750 HEIGHT=550 TYPE=“application/x-shockwave-flash” PLUGINSPAGE=“http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash”></EMBED>
Ick… the source code didn’t copy too well… just go to my site and look… I looked at yours and it prob. just needs a param code… I also noticed that you are using frames as well as an ip address code… that might be an issue as well… who knows… try the code thing and see if that works… it’s def. an HTML issue, not a flash issue.
Just let me know… I would be glad to check it again… am anxious to see it
I did have a look at your code and couldn’t find anything that should make a difference. Buuuuuut, can you try now? There might have been something wrong within my html code anyhow. :ne:
You got it! It’s a really nice site. I think the music fits well with your theme. The only thing I din’t like was the transparent bar rollover on the menu items… Overall it’s a really good interface with welll designed graphics… and easy to navigate. Good Job!
Thanks Amy! Good to hear that also Mac users can now experience my work.
Thanks for helping me out :cowboy:
You are very welcome! Hope all goes well for you down under!
very very cool site. i like it a lot… it’s super, and the music is very inspiring. it fits perfect to the site. AWESOME!!!
Almost forgot…disable the right click menu and it will make it even more profesional…and please tell me what font did you use and where to get it cause it’s really nice.
Nice to hear you liked it. That makes all the long hours of work all worth it.
Well, the site is using many different fonts, which font did you have your mind on matey?
I checked out your site a while back I don’t know how I got the link…but I remember then thinking your site was great. The site has a relaxing ambience to it. Loading times were quick and the layout was good.
Graphicly sound and fx wise great and by the sounds of it you’ve got some more on the way.

Thanks a lot MrG for your excellent feedback.
Yes indeed, I’ve got some more up my sleeve, but that’s still another month or two away, but I’ll sure keep you updated. :}
