Minesweeper Flags Extreme

After 9 months of learning Flash, and 6 months of intensive programming on one project, it’s finally officially released:

Minesweeper Flags Extreme

Basically, it’s a Multiplayer version of Minesweeper, where the objective is to find more mines than your opponent. Players take turns clicking on fields and the one who is the first to get 26 or more mines wins the game!

You can play against 5 difficulty levels of computer controlled opponents
You can also enter Online Multiplayer mode to play against any player who is online!
There’s also replays avalible, so you can see your own played games or games played by others!

Minesweeper Flags Extreme is built in Flash CS3 and ActionScript 3.0
Uses PHP Sockets for Online Multiplayer support

Minesweeper Flags Extreme Version 1.1 is now released!

New features in version 1.1:

  • New graphic sets: Switch between Alan Bond’s new graphics set and
the classic Minesweeper Flags graphics from the Options screen.
  • Slightly improved interface
  • New computer AI: AI Loser
  • “Expander Rule” resets the game if open field is found before any player has found a mine. Can be turned off in options
  • Leave Multiplayer games and continue them at a later time
  • Animated bomb explosion with Alan Bond’s graphics
And lots of bug fixes and other features!

erm improve the graphics and website, I guess you are a coder and low on “shiny things” skills

Unfortunately, I cannot disagree with you there. I know it’s lacking a lot in the “shiny things” area. Any specific suggestions on how to improve it would be highly appreciated! I will try to improve it somehow, some day in the near future.
