Modelling a teapot lid

hi guys,

i’m trying to model a teapot, and i can’t work out a good way to make the lid. I’ve attached a photo of the lid i’m using…

what i’ve tried so far is to make a mushroom-ish shape, and then use sub-d’s to push the semi-circles down creating the handle bit, but it didn’t work very well (the edges weren’t smooth like the real one, and they weren’t symmetrical.)

so, any ideas?

i’m gonna remodel it and see if it works… i may have just accidentally made a mistake at some point, or done something i shouldn’t have while experimenting, and forgotten to undo it.

anyway, thanks for the help, i’ll let y’all know how the new one turns out :slight_smile:
