can anyone give me a tutorial of a simple animation project? Like illustrating a sound wave, or something small like that.
I’m a big n00b and I don’t want to stay one. I’m determined to work hard and get all the practice I can.
Why don’t you start off with the basic tutorials on this site then work your way to more advanced ones. Here’s the link to the basic tutorials, if you get stuck then post your questions here. =)
Have a look at the Cartoon Animation tutorial. That shows you how to make a simple animation.
If you’re trying to fit something with a sound file, then it’s a bit more fiddly, but still possible. If you put the sound on one layer of the timeline, then you can fit your animation with the peaks and troughs of that. Run the player head along the movie to check you’re in sequence.
If that’s not too clear, then I’m sure I can make a quick example.

well, first, I’ve done most of those basic tutorials. I’m looking for more practice.
When I said sound wave, I meant a small continuos animation that looks like the sound wave you see when you look at the screen of the oscilloscope.
