see-through jumper? where do you buy your jumpers from? :stuck_out_tongue:

i dont think we have jumpers like thatā€¦mechanics jumpers are the only jumpers i can think ofā€¦

I just buy stuff. :beam:

lol. kit how do you do line art in illustrator? i got FreeHand but i have used illustrator and there are many similarities but what do you use? I cant figure it out, i am stuck on bending my line lol.

Iā€™m using the Pen tool to do it rather than the lineā€¦ So you click to make one point, then click and hold down to draw the second point and curve the line. Itā€™s fiddly. Very fiddly. :sure:

itā€™s totally unintuitive compared to FireWorks imo. Firstly, once youā€™ve drawn the lines using the pen tool, you have to be absolutely pixel perfect to move the handles around. I canā€™t, for the life of me, work out what combinations of keys I have to press to get the white cursor to actually do what I wantā€¦ and basically itā€™s a pain. Thatā€™s why my first picture of kaneda took so bloody long!

I need some trainingā€¦ kit?

I ought to start up some classes. :sure:

Omg youā€™re good! Thatā€™s a gift! Donā€™t let it go waste!
you too edwin!

another nice pic :)ā€¦ all drawn from the head i suppose, or is there a place you get your models (in that case i would like to know  )

Little bit of everything really. It helps if I have a model infront of me, at least the first time I draw a pose. Once itā€™s down on paper once, then I can copy from my original.

Otherwise, itā€™s a lot of standing infront of a mirror. :stuck_out_tongue:

well i draw from my head, this way there is little chance i copy someoneā€¦ but this doesnā€™t mean i would say no if someone would like to model (read: i need a girlfriend ;))

standing in front of the mirror lol, no iā€™m not gonna do that to the world

You just have to make sure that no-one else is watching. Otherwise youā€™re standing there trying to pose and sketch at the same time and you look like a fool.

lol thatā€™s not the way i meant it :)ā€¦ i usually draw when no-one is watching, canā€™t stand someone looking over my shoulderā€¦ usually because half way working on a sketch i get this feeling itā€™s not gonna work out and i would rather trow it away.

What i meant was i prefer drawing intresting things so iā€™ll pass on drawing me

Youā€™re right, my folding directions arenā€™t great on this one - I think I got them much better on the bed / sheet one I drew a few weeks ago. Iā€™ll take the Wacom to this tomorrow at work, that should help get things looking a bit neater.
Just out of interest (edwin and kit) - which Wacom models do you have? (Iā€™m assuming youā€™ve also got a Wacom Ed) - realistically, whatā€™s the minimum useful size for one of those? I really want one! weā€™ve got quite an old one, but itā€™s a mac-compatible, and my dadā€™s mac is sooooooooooooo oldā€¦ it leaves a little to be desired!

both of them got the Graphire2 ({so do i but i never really use it cause its uncomfortable to me cause i am a lefty)

Yep, what he said. Graphire 2. Middle of the range, but still more than enough to do whatever you need. :beam:

Graphire 2ā€™s are the coolest toy ever

just put in a bid for one on Ebayā€¦ Ā£10 :beam:
