Movie clip question

Whats up, I’m working on my first flashsite and i have a movieclip called mc_jaw that holds 4 navigation buttons and another movie clip. I’m controlling mc_jaw with a onRollOver event handler and a custom function that controls how it animates open and closed. But when I publish my swf my nav buttons don’t react to the mouse and don’t function, is there a way to retain there functionality inside of this movie clip. Any help would be appreciated.
