Does anyone know the exact rules about copywriting? I first heard that anything under 30 seconds is ok. Meaning Can I puit a full mp3 on my site? What do you guys do? I’m getting tired of the 9 sec loop over and over again :whistle:

no i mean i want to play a song from an artist who owns the rights to that songs or whatever. let’s just say a rolling stones song.
You cannot use anything that is copywritten. What you heard is bunk. The only time you can ever use anybody else’s stuff is with their permission (written). Even if somebody hasn’t gone out and filed a copywrite they still hold this thing called “intellicual property” over the code/design or in your case Mp3.
yup. as soon as you write a song it is copyrighted. the writer must give you permission for use. why not just make your own loop? from that pic i’m guessing you are a musician.

thanks for the explanation. so everytime i go to a site and i hear full mp3’s, pretty much they are copywriting? dang . i am really getting tired of buying beats that are only 9 seconds. any suggestions?

na i am not a musician, i wish i was but i am not. maybe ill get EZDjay or something and attempt coughs to make my own

That is an amazing site for loops and beats and stuff. Also, you can take some of those and if you remix it then you can use it. Try getting Sound Forge and Acid Pro.

yea i have sound forge, honestly i find it a bit difficult, i prefer cool edit, as i am in no way a master at audio. the problem with flash kit, is everyone and their mother has all those sound loops.
you have a great idea with the remix thing though, maybe i can get a whole bunch and do something cool
sighs first design, then flash, then php, and now audio… does it ever end.

http://www.kernhigh.org/hire the ambient bg noise was an elevator going up sound that I got off Flashkit but I took it, cropped it, and stretched it a bunch and then through in another loop over it and then modified that loop also. If you do enough then it won’t sound anything like anything on FlashKit.
