I downloaded “MP3 Tag Tools v1.2” and took a ton of time updating my MP3’s metadata. I then looked in my “My Music” folder in Windows to see if any changes occured. To my surprise, half the files metadata were not updated. Then I realized that there is ID3v2.x and ID3v1.1. My actual files reflected somewhat of a mixture between what was in the former and the latter data structures.
What is going on? I just want an easy tool to actually tag my MP3’s so that I can find any song easily on my MP3 player.
