Mp3s (not the usual q's!)

Well, I’m making a projector-file to act as a music sampler (ie a nice exercise in Flash for me). A potential problem is that it has 500mb of mostly external mp3s.

If someone is insane enough to listen to it all at once, is this going to cause huge slow-down when their memory runs low? The unload command doesn’t seem to be there for sound objects, but if I was to attach them to a movie-clip and them unload the mc, would that work to help reduce memory load?

I’m just worried that even unloading stuff won’t help issues. Anyway, thanks for reading.

How about if they are stupid enough to try and play 500 mp3’s @ 1 time then they deserve to have their computer lockup and they won’t be able to save their solitaire game (I know you can’t save but you get my point).

just make sure you load the sound to the same target mc you have loaded the first sound it will unload the last sound once you load the next sound :beam: and yes it will slow down the computer if you do it the previous way

Ah, it does automatically unload stuff. Sweet. I was going to put an array in with the track paths in, so it will over-write the same sound object in the mc.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease :thumb:
