is there a limit to the amount of video that you can place within a mx movie? i have 4 big videos to choose from in a player i just made and after i load 2 of the 4 vids i seem to max out the browser cache and then nothing will load into the player, not even the vids thta i had already loaded. - help!

hmm… you may be right.
try upping the cache in your own computer, then review it and see if you get further.
You probebly don’t want to do that large a peice if you can avoid it. Best to cut it into sections and produce four linked peices than require someone to download a huge file. … but that’s just personal opinion.
…and sometimes it can take a day or two to get a reply…patience…we’re not always on the board…
i upped my cache and that didn’t help. i did notice however, that it only locks up the content when i switch between the videos before they have each individaully completed loading. if i click on vid #1 and it starts to load and then click back to my menu and choose a 2nd vid before that first one is done loading then click back to the menu again and try to load the 3rd vid that’s when the content seems to become inaccessible. however if i load video 1 and wait for it to finish loading and then switch to vid 2, wait for it to finish loading then switch to vid 3 they all work fine with no content lock up. maybe there is some limit as to how many vids can be loading simultanously?
Yes indeed, coz they load into the flashplayers RAM, so about 5 mins of vid is all it can handle!
seems like a mac memory management problem now - windoz machines seem to do fine with it…
The question is eyez, is there a command that will let someone clear that ram?
yes, fscommand(“exit”, true); LOL
maybe unloading the clip…i used to embed the video into clips to be able to do that…or stream it in chunks…no idea…but I have “Flash MX Video” coming to a home near me (mine) anytime soon, I’ll check if there’s more info asap…
