Very good and professional. But I don’t know if i’d put my phone number on the net.
Hey lava,
Looks simple and professional - cool!
Cheers!
Kirupa
Tell me when you’re watching a video tape. I’ll call you and say “seven… daaaaays”.
Looks good. Clean. :A+:
I’m assuming your wanting feedback? Take this as constructive:) I like everything. Cept those circles are really choppy. They don’t look smooth at all. But good layout. The circles are the olny thing I noticed that I would change.
yeah, I couldnt figure out how to make them smoother for showing. All I did was convert it to a photoshop pdf… and although you can embed the font outlines, for some reason it doesnt write the vector information for the circle, which sucks. However, I’m using the photoshop file to print it, so the circles will come out smooth.
thanks for the comment
Raf
nice card… speaking of PDF’s, do you know how to output multi page PDF’s from Photoshop? Do i need an alternate program for this?
i believe its Adobe Acrobat…

huh? I’m assuming you think I made an error when I said photoshop pdf?
Anyways, maj, I’m not sure. What I would do is just make several pdfs from photoshop, and then join them… you can do that with acrobat. If you’re talking about making a HUGE picture and dividing it into pages, i dont know, you might try opening things in illustrator.
Raf
i was answering Majeye’s question. Acrobat is used to make PDF i think…
you can use photoshop to make pdf’s too… of course, the PDF format is the WORST THING IN THE WORLD. (Believe me, I work with PDFs all day). If you have photoshop or illustrator you can convert their files to PDFs, of course, the pdf is going to be ineditable, unlike regular pdfs.
oh yeah, but I think that the majority of PDFs you see on the web that are long, like 15-1500 pages, are made with Adobe Acrobat…
thats for Majeye…
HERE COMES THE PRANK CALLS!
jk
If you gotta prank call someone prank call this number:
**EDIT BY JUBBA
^^^^Say that KERRY is me
**don’t give out numbers on the forum. Thanks.
well, the content of PDF documents is not created with Acrobat. Those long files you see are usually created with Word, and then they’re converted to PDF using Acrobat Distiller.
Let me make this clear - you CAN’T start a PDF from scratch on acrobat. I mean, you can… but it’s the equivalent of shooting yourself in the head and jumping off a bridge. PDF is only an extension of that old PS format, and acrobat is only meant for touching up already created PDFs.
Hey! That was my number! But oh well
i see. I have never touched them… so I wasn’t sure. and nice analogy with the shooting and bridge jumping…
Adobe Reader is not the same as Adobe Acrobat right? Ill hafta get the version that isn’t free in order to output the PDF’s right?
Lava - I disagree totally.
Adobe Acrobat is one of the most powerfull apps out there, that’s why so many companies are using them. I work as a Graphic Designer / Web Developer for a company here in London. Everytime I send anything to a print house for output they insist it be a .pdf file. This is because of not only the drastically reduced file size but the stability and quality of the format.
When working with Illustrator or Photoshop just save your document as a .eps and use Acrobat Distiller that comes with a retail version of Acrobat to produce the file. It’s as easy as drag and drop. You can control what kind of quality your file will be in every aspect imaginable. It’s a printers dream.
And as for it being impossible to work in - I have made many forms in the program that work fantastic and are quite easy to complete. It’s just like any program though - the more you use it, the more you know about it - the easier it becomes to use.
That’s just my opinion…
Maj - reader is the free software that you use to view the pdf’s. Distiller is the program you use to create the pdf files from eps file formats.
thanks sureshot! time to buy distiller!
Thanks to lavaboy, and jubba as well!!
