My dad starting screaming in pain an hour ago and now he’s in the hospital. I think he’s there 'cause of kidney stones, which he’s had before. He said they’re like, the most painful thing on the planet… anyways, I should be studying but it’s kind of hard, so instead I want to tell you that my dad’s at the hospital, but of course perfectly ok, he way over-empathisezes (sp!!!) everything…
my dad also just recently went to the hospital about a week ago, for an operation. He had a hernia. I didn’t think those things actually existed! As a teen, I also made jokes about it, like instead of saying I was going to have a cow, I would have a hernia.
Orginally thought they were something related to stress, but now I know its just the tissue around your tummy that rips (sounds gross, I know, but I dont know a nicer way of putting it!) Anyway, he feels guilty now, as his work gave him 2 weeks off (plus a huge basket of fruits, nuts, and things) and everyone feels sorry for him, when actually he is in no pain at all!! He felt fine the next day!
Now he is using his two weeks as holiday and has gone off to knysna (holiday location in south africa)!!
I hope your dad feels better again. I also heard kidney stones are painful.
the most painful thing I’ve ever gone through was the fist-size cyste I had removed down by my tailbone 5 months ago… now THAT hurt… could’t even turn over in bed at night…
that and the 4 or so migraine attacks that sent me to the hospital too… ouch…
Oh man, thats never fun getting a family member in the hospital. My grandmother had a similar problem, but she’s ok. I hope all the same for your father.
my uncle has kidney stones and he’s gonna have to…you know…pass them naturally. like garyzero says its the closest a man can come to the pain of child birth.
My grandfather was never out of hospital last year. I was there so often I could take you a tour round the place. He died last year but now my grans in too and it’s back to the hospital. Man I even remember the visiting times and where which ward is.
anyway I’m sure he’ll be fine so GET BACK TO STUDYING!!!
I can tell you first hand that Kidney stones are the worst pain in the entire planet…The first time I had them, I went to the hospital three times it was about 6 years ago and they didnt think a 17 year old female would ahve kidney stones so they sent me home with extra strenth tylenol for three days of excrutiating roll around the floor in the fetal postion rip your hair out of your head 24 hour non-stop pain till they finally checked for them because I begged them too (my mom had her first stone at 25) and found a stone the size of a peanut m&m and had to pulverize in to three seperate stones to pass…not fun!
I just had them again in February/March this year—It sucked I knew right away what it was and with in five minutes had passed out from the pain which scared the crap put of my best friend who was just downloading music and heard me hit the floor. I had a three hour wait at the emergency room and wanted to die!
I can not imagine pain worse then this…both my mother and aunt say they are worse then child birth…my mom had three kids naturally so I’ll take bets that she is correct…
I feel very bad for your dad, hope he is better soon!
