i don’t get it. with your explanation i think its a little too much of a “artsy fartsy” product(as my friend would call it). by that i mean you may have had a message, you may have had an intention but it almost seems like a bull**** explanation.
the 3d effect is lost once the first image skews to point that it separates.
personally i think if you wanted to present this you would have to have a design brief explaining it… and if you have to have an explanation because it can’t stand on its own then it isn’t strong enough yet.
PS - the “first time” excuse is a cop-out you don’t need to be defensive in any way, this is a forum for critique so just take the comments under consideration and make the changes you feel are relevant.
AE is capable of far more than this so play around and see if you find a new style or nitch you can expand upon.
