Well the other day my grandpa and I decided to go fishing in Gregoire lake, which is close to Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. In total we spent about 4 hours on the boat and caught about 20 fish, although half the time my grandpa was on his cell phone… He is always on his cell phone and always thinking about work. So when it started to rain on us, we decided to go back to the boat launch, and pack up for the day, and head back home. So my grandpa tells me to hold the boat by it’s rope at the dock, while he goes and gets his truck and trailer for the boat. So i’m waiting for about 5 minutes until he comes, finally he does come, he backs up his trailer into the water, like it should be, and he gets out and pulls up the leg’s on his jeans, so he can go up to knee deep in the water, and crank the boat up onto the trailer. His cell phone is clipped onto his belt and he’s only up to his knees in the water. So he says, “Ok, Steven… Bring the boat over here.” So I pull on the rope to bring it over, then all of a sudden, the rope slips through my hand. The lake is full of waves, because of the rain storm, and the boat starts to move away. It goes about 3 feet before i realize that i lost the rope, and my grandpa goes running after it. He goes in past his waist (just barely) and his cell phone is entirely submurged in water. I was about to say somthing like “Hey your cell phone!” But i didn’t for some reason. He didn’t realize that it was still on his belt. He got the boat and put it on the trailer, we loaded up and got home. He sets his cell phone on the cupboard, and opens it up and see’s that the screen is full of moisture, he tries to turn it on and it won’t do anything. So he realizes that it was on his belt and did go entirely under water for about 10 seconds or so. I realize that that was entirely my fault. So the next day (today) we stopped at Telus and they said he needed to get a new phone, I didn’t hear about this until just about 15 minutes ago. He gave me his old one and said, try and fix it, we got nothing to lose if you damage it, but they said I can take my new one back if I want if for some reason the old one starts working again. So I was just wondering what to do to get rid of the moisture in an LCD screen. Here is an attachment of what it looks like… (i don’t have a very good Digital Camera…
