My site for a DJ. Am I going in the right direction here?

Here is the intro for a site I am doing for a local DJ, karaoke, guy. Eventually I want to have some equpment in the middle like an EQ, CD player, ect. I just wanted to check with the pro’s and see what they think of what I have done so far.

hmm that’s a dead link.

I think the DJ site I am doing is going to need a photoshop layout, for sure. I would also like to take the lights, and put them on one of those rotating light bar things. Then i need to add some perspective to the lights themselves.

Looks like I have a lot of work ahead of me.

wow, that is a very nice site. That does give some good ideas.

The only problem is, I have never made a complete flash site. Maybe, it is time to try it out.

yep - and if you run into any problems (Like I always do) remember to check out the pre made flash stuff, and tutorials from flashkit - and also ultrashock. Also we are here to help as well so yeah! try it. (lol, but i wouldnt worry if the site you make doesnt turn out like the barcadi dj site, lol - **** 2advanced :()

I need to look into getting some tutorials from flashkit, and ultrashock. I can only find one tutorial here about making a complete flash site, and I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings, but it’s not all that great.

I am basically looking at it from a componet standpoint. The bacardi site is pretty much made of small componets.

If you can:

  1. Get your componets working…
  2. Get your componets to load when they should…
  3. Get your componets to load where they should…
  4. Get your componets to unload when they should

If all of that can come together you should be all set with a good full flash site.

Ok, the bacardi site is not made of small componants (mabey they are but i dont think so) - i think it is made by multiple swf.s (lots of little movies coming into one) - im not even sure they do that, the majoroty is the 1 movie.

with multiple swf’s you can edit one movie at a time. I think that is why they do that. I think it’s a good idea, that’s probably what I would do.
