I agree 100%. The name changes every few days is quite confusing and annoying.

Kax and Ahmed were modded at the same time.
After being modded Kax changed his name to Kode, and I am supposing just changed that back to Kax today.

yeah, we should have some sort of news system. I’m thinking a weekly update on what’s going on: bans, forum updates, name changes, normal user requests (for example, xxviii’s post count to 0), etc.
For my last site I used to use http://www.cutephp.com/ as my news updater. It has the ability to set up an admin account (kirupa) and then you can set up journalist accounts (just able to post, which would be us mods).
He could set up a page that uses this system, and we could post updates/changes to the site/forum/members and set it up at a link only us mods know.
Anyone thing that is a good idea?

I love the cutePHP system, I found it to be quite an excellent PHP news updater for my site. I highly recommend it to anyone if they are looking for something like it. Unless Jubba or Ahmed, or anyone else wants to write one from scratch that is
it’s just pulling chunks of info from a server and putting some fancy borders around it. :-\
try coding it, lost, you’d be surprised how simple it can be.
Thor: I am PHP retarded, I can’t code it. But the cutePHP system allows for comments, smilies, and monthly archiving (if you install that extra). I don’t know how hard that is in PHP.
