I’ve spent all day trying to find the answer to this question, including scouring the tutorials on this forum. Although I’m sure the answer is embedded in these sources, my limited actionscript experience (I’ve been bashing through for less than a week) means i don’t really understand the responses.
I have a logo movieclip on the main timeline at frame 1 which is 120 frames long. The main timeline has a stop() on frame 1. I want frame 60 of the logoMC timeline to restart the main timeline playing again.
I’ve tried some actionscript 2.0-ish stuff like this.parent.play(); or root.gotoAndPlay(2); etc… which of course doesn’t work. I’ve been trying most things but just can’t seem to crack it. I apologise for my lack of knowledge, i’m just trying to build a flash website in a couple of weeks for a friend as a thank you. I would love a solution and/or simplistic tutorial of target paths and finding the main timeline AS just to get me going again.
