Navigation menu using masking

I am a novice to flash and I need some help. Can anyone help me do a navigation menu like the one on this website.

I am learning how to do masking now and it requires the use of it but I am not great at it. Can someone give me direction on how to start. Thanks a lot. C:-)

Thanks a lot both of you…that was great help. I did a menu in photoshop with a seperate blur. Now I was wondering how do I make it into individual buttons in flash that would be linked to the other pages I have to create…just like clearmag.com. WHen you are put the mouse over you can see the content and then you can click on it and it will take you to the page. How would I do that?

Make a dummy button, set the alpha to 0 so that it would be invisible and use it over and over for each link.

Just place the invisible dummy buttons over each text on the photoshop image.

OK I will try to see what the outcome is. I am so slow at this. It is so fustrating when things don’t really turn out the way u want them. EG I saw your website…that is amazing. I am in complete awe.

Fashionista, being frustrated is perfectly normal. I’ve had my fair share of frustration as well. My advice is take is slowly, there’s no rush. =)

EG…under the menu I am creating I want to create a submenu…how can i do that. The one I want to create is similar to the one in this website www.stellamccartney.com.
